Bhakti Field

A Weekly Celebration of Community, Wisdom & Blessed Food

Every Sunday, the Bhaktifield community gathers at our beloved Vedic Vegetarian cafe in Nimbin for our much-anticipated Sunday Love Feast. This is a special time for spiritual nourishment, joyful chanting, insightful discussion, and the sharing of delicious, sanctified food (Prasadam) – all offered freely with love.

It's a perfect way to conclude your week and recharge your spiritual batteries in a warm, welcoming, and uplifting atmosphere. Everyone is invited, regardless of background or belief!

Our Sunday Feast Program

Join us every Sunday for a spiritually enriching schedule:

  • 4:30 PM (16:30): Outdoor Kirtan
We begin by gathering outside Vedic Vegetarian for a "nice chant." Immerse yourself in the soul-stirring sounds of Harinam Sankirtan (congregational chanting of sacred mantras) and feel the uplifting vibrations.
  • Following Kirtan: Spiritual Discourse
After the kirtan, settle in for a "little lecture." Our spiritual teachers share insightful wisdom from Vedic scriptures like the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam, offering practical guidance for a life of Bhakti.
  • Concluding with: Free Prasadam & Dessert!
The culmination of our feast is the joyful distribution of free Prasadam – delicious, sanctified vegetarian food prepared with love and offered to the Divine. And yes, there's always dessert, often featuring our community-favorite Halava!

What is a "Love Feast"?

The tradition of the "Love Feast" or "Sunday Feast" was popularized in the Western world by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. It's designed as an open house for anyone to experience the core elements of Bhakti Yoga: chanting the holy names, hearing spiritual philosophy, associating with like-minded people (Sadhu Sanga), and honoring Prasadam.

It's a holistic experience that nourishes the body, mind, and soul, leaving attendees feeling spiritually refreshed, peaceful, and joyful. It's a taste of the loving community and spiritual bliss that Bhakti Field aims to cultivate.

"This process of hearing and chanting in the association of devotees and taking prasadam is the very life of the Bhakti movement." (Inspired by teachings on Bhakti)
